Weekend Adventures: 4th of July

This weekend has been quite picturesque and lots of photos were captured as Kai got to really enjoy the fireworks this year! Though this is his second holiday, I can’t help but really count this as his first. Earlier in the day we got to spend some time with my parents and my mom took out her awesome Nikon to capture photos of us goofing around in the yard for a bit. Between playing Frisbee and running around with the soccer ball (Kai’s favorite sport) we had so much fun!

As my parents get older, I find myself wanting to enjoy the time I have with them and to create memories that I know will last far beyond our time together. A little sentimental, I just don’t want to take for granted the small things.

The rest of the weekend was quite lazy and I hope you enjoyed yourself as well! This week is full of moving and Mike will be traveling for the missions trip with Ebenezer International in Nicaragua! While he is gone I will be packing, packing, and of course packing… We officially move in less than 2 weeks! I can’t believe the time has flown by and I am not ready honestly. I certainly hope these last few days have been full of fun and great time together with family and friends!
