Natural Hair: A new personalized hair care regimen

Disclosure: I received this is a sponsored post and contains affiliate links. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

If you’ve been around here long enough I’ve shared my almost five year natural hair care journey. As much as I love my hair, it’s most certainly a challenge finding a hair regimen that keeps my hair moisturized AND defined. I’m constantly finding and researching different ways to maintain healthy hair, because whether it’s natural or relaxed the goal should be healthy.

The frustrating and cumbersome part of being natural isn’t so much the combing, styling, or bad hair days – it’s the fact that one thing doesn’t always work! There have been times where I’ve purchased top of the line products only to have them not be for my hair. So when Formulate discovered me (which was an answered prayer for this complex hair of mine), I had to jump at the chance to try!

Personalized Natural Hair Care

Can I tell you that Formulate exceeded my expectations?! From the manageability to the moisture and even the longevity of my twist outs! Even better was those fact that I could see the exact ingredients for each product so there was no question of what I would be exposing my hair too.

The team at Formulate have taken on the mantel of creating a movement that completely transforms personalized hair care completely. By working with chemists and you, they figure out what your hair needs are in an honest and real way while educating you on the best way to care for your hair.

Just check out the full rundown that came with my first set!

Since a Formulate isn’t just another brand or company, but an entire shift in connecting with their clients they stand by this: If we can’t get it right for you on the first formulation, our team will work with you to adjust your ingredients and ship you the new formula – free of charge 🙌. If for any reason you aren’t satisfied and wish to discontinue, we will issue you a full refund. How awesome is that? They are constantly desiring for you to be as happy as possible with their

I cant just write all of this greatness and not share it with you!! The amazing people of Formulate have collaborated with me to give one of YOU a set of personalized shampoo and conditioner (cue Oprah voice).

Simply enter here for your chance to win, yes it’s that easy! Can’t wait for you to check them out too!

  • This time last year, the Lord started challenging the thought of pausing our homeschooling journey. Honestly… I wasn’t happy about it because it wasn’t part of my plan. Even the kids weren’t fully on board at first. 🥹

If I’m being honest, part of me felt like I was losing. Homeschooling isn’t easy, and after years of pouring into our kids, I wrestled with whether putting them in school meant I had somehow failed them.

But somehow through all the emotions, questions, and transitions, we made it through their first year in school.

And wow… proud is an understatement.

Each of them shattered every stereotype people love to place on homeschooled kids. They shined bright, made meaningful friendships, adapted with courage, and walked into new spaces fully themselves.

This year reminded me that what is poured into our kids at home goes with them wherever they go. Everything we’ve prayed over them, spoken over them, and believed about them showed up in real time.

Watching them succeed didn’t make me feel like I had failed. It reminded me that this season wasn’t the end of something. It was evidence that God had been faithful through all of it. ❤️

  • Random Friday thoughts… because I can’t shop anyone’s like it at this point 😒
  • Someone recently asked me when I realized I had experienced agape love… and honestly, my first thought was my mom and my sister.

Life has held its share of complicated chapters, and I know what it’s like to navigate distance and hard seasons. Getting older and healing has a way of adjusting the lens. Hindsight really does show you the gifts that were there all along.

This weekend we celebrated my sister’s birthday, and looking back at this photo of us as kids, I’m reminded how precious it is to grow up and realize your big sister is truly your best friend.

Some love doesn’t need to be loud to be deep. I’m really grateful. #sistersister
