An Insider Secret To Less Painful Breastfeeding And Quicker Healing.

“A mother’s worth is measured in love, and not ounces.” -Stacey Stewart

Having the opportunity to nurse each of my babies has been a special gift. I don’t take it for granted at all. Every time it’s taken commitment, patience, and reminding myself that it will get better overtime. From the cramping to the bleeding nipples, sometimes I really wanted to throw in the towel. However, when Silverette reached out to me right before having Mila, sharing it is possible to breastfeed with less pain and quicker healing – I had to give their silver nursing cups a try!

With my fourth nursing journey I have to be honest, I was extremely skeptical. I’ve always prepared myself for a “Rule of 3’s” when it comes to nursing. The first three days, three weeks, and three months are pretty much terrible for me. Especially since all of my kids have firm latches and eat constantly. So trying a product that could alleviate the soreness and pain I’m used to didn’t seem feasible… But this time around I’m astounded that at FOUR WEEKS my nipples are healed and I’m nursing with a comfort level of my usual four MONTHS!! So let me share more about why I’m a believer!

What are Silverette Cups?

SILVERETTE ® are small cups crafted out of pure 925 silver that fit over and help to protect nipples while breastfeeding. Silver is a natural antimicrobial, antifungal, and antibacterial metal that also contains anti-inflammatory agents. It heals and prevents cuts, wounds, cracks, soreness, and infections.

The cups fit right over your nipples (yep, one size does fit all – crazy I know!). If you tend to leak, which I do, you can put nursing pads right over the cups and it will all stay in place. I will say be careful when removing the cups, because any extra milk will spill out!

It’s best to use them consistently and daily. Pretty much leave them on and put them back after every nursing session. I rinse mine out prior to putting them back on. You can also

The more you use the cups the more effective they are. My nipples don’t dry out or crack at all, and honestly that’s a miracle in itself. The best part is you don’t need to add any additional creams or lotions either! With so many creams and lotions available, it’s nice to not need them for once.

Going beyond daily Nursing.

What’s awesome is when you have finished breastfeeding (whether it is for six months or six years), you can send back to the company your SILVERETTE ® cups and they will turn them into a priceless keepsake charm with your child’s initial engraved. Since the cups are made of 925 silver, they can be molded again, how cool is that?

I love that the product and the moments of my time with Mila don’t go to waste or stuck in a drawer somewhere. To think beyond daily breastfeeding and how to preserve that makes me love this product even more.

I cannot encourage new moms enough to try SILVERETTE ® cups if you’re interested in breastfeeding. Often times the beginning struggles and pain of nursing is the most discouraging part. So having a product that can truly help with that is completely worth the investment!

I’m a major advocate of nursing and I’m also honest that it’s not easy. Being able to try and experience a product that makes it that much easier has given me a resource to advocate even more. Thank you to the team at SILVERETTE ® for such an incredible product!
