3 Reasons For Low Cost Affordable Tutoring Solutions With Results

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post and contains affiliate links. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

One of the blessings in disguise this year has been our journey into officially homeschooling. Being able to work alongside our boys, giving them focused attention, and incorporating a desire to learn has been hard BUT so so rewarding. Effective homeschooling for us has also allowed me to free myself from needing to know it all. That’s where connecting with low cost affordable tutoring solutions has made all the difference. We are experiencing incredible results.

An area of challenge I knew walking into this was math for our oldest. The foundation of concepts has not been a strength of his and it’s brought many moments of frustration.

Choosing what’s best

A significant insecurity when saying yes to homeschool was the balance of being mom and finding a structure to address “problem” areas of learning/ knowledge retention. I can recount the parent teacher meetings I sat in where I really felt maybe the boys are behind. And even in homeschool there were (and still some days) many tears and frustration on both ends. I didn’t want that to be our homeschool story or their academic narrative.

So I knew that somehow connecting with a group or finding other educational voices beyond mine would help strengthen this experience. Though we are currently connected to a homeschool community, I haven’t gotten acquainted with it much unfortunately. So when the team of No Fuss Tutors reached out for us to consider giving them a try – it was a major piece to the puzzle.

Exceptional tutoring with results!

No Fuss Tutors is an exceptional low cost affordable online tutoring service for all ages and subjects. Their approach provides a wide range of expert online tutors paired with your child. Each tutor is there to help improve their grades, confidence, and overall competency in all subjects.

My initial intake included questions such as Kai’s temperament, learning strengths/challenges, and the areas I wanted to focus on. All of these questions and the wonderful conversation allowed for the team to find the most suitable tutor to pair with him. Every tutor is more than qualified, and it shows.

From the first session Kai looked at me and said I love this. Their unique interactive whiteboard format allows a one-on-one teaching approach that walks your child through a guided experience. Within the first two sessions I was able to see Kai move from uncertainty to functioning in the confidence I know is there.

3 reasons for low cost affordable tutoring solutions

As education continues to shift I cannot encourage you enough to avoid what I did – thinking I have to do this all on my own. Yes even with a heart and drive to homeschool, I still felt that I needed to shoulder the load. This is why it’s worth considering extending your network of academic support. Low cost affordable tutoring has been an excellent for us!

With additional support such as a low cost private tutor you’re providing the following for your child (and even yourself):

1. Connection: Anyone else’s child listen to other people and their advice over yours sometimes? Yeah we’re in that season too. Strategic and intentional connections even in academics is important. Having another intelligent male teacher who is skilled, fun, and actually excited to teach our son is more impactful than ever. The personal time just for your child to work, talk, and engage helps them grow. It also reinforces that there are smart people out there working hard and making a difference!

Academic support is important

2. Personalized: One-on-one teaching environments are conducive to most students. Unfortunately even as a teacher, I know that the naturally limiting factors of a classroom environment is the ability to personalize each experience. While some kids can be more suited to large group settings, I know that there is no replacing the benefit of more personal engagement.

According to one study, students will retain on average: 5% from a lecture (or classroom session, without taking notes). However, the more personalized the experience the better the opportunity for retention, less illusion of competency, and overall educational confidence.

3. Accountable, Trackable, and FUN! Plus it’s a break for you! For an hour a week I know that the progress, proper skills, and focused support are being provided regardless of the fluidity of our homeschool schedule. It’s on the calendar and we both look forward to it. Kai enjoys the face that his tutor sees his growth and the challenge of being prepared and reaching goals they set together.

The fact that each session is $30 and pay as you go has been most important for our family budget. It’s been worth the investment. I’m so thrilled that you can use this referral code for your first free session as well!

Broadening our support and making a new connection has brought more benefits than I can even verbalize. I cannot encourage you enough to consider low cost private tutoring with incredible results!

  • This time last year, the Lord started challenging the thought of pausing our homeschooling journey. Honestly… I wasn’t happy about it because it wasn’t part of my plan. Even the kids weren’t fully on board at first. 🥹

If I’m being honest, part of me felt like I was losing. Homeschooling isn’t easy, and after years of pouring into our kids, I wrestled with whether putting them in school meant I had somehow failed them.

But somehow through all the emotions, questions, and transitions, we made it through their first year in school.

And wow… proud is an understatement.

Each of them shattered every stereotype people love to place on homeschooled kids. They shined bright, made meaningful friendships, adapted with courage, and walked into new spaces fully themselves.

This year reminded me that what is poured into our kids at home goes with them wherever they go. Everything we’ve prayed over them, spoken over them, and believed about them showed up in real time.

Watching them succeed didn’t make me feel like I had failed. It reminded me that this season wasn’t the end of something. It was evidence that God had been faithful through all of it. ❤️

  • Random Friday thoughts… because I can’t shop anyone’s like it at this point 😒
  • Someone recently asked me when I realized I had experienced agape love… and honestly, my first thought was my mom and my sister.

Life has held its share of complicated chapters, and I know what it’s like to navigate distance and hard seasons. Getting older and healing has a way of adjusting the lens. Hindsight really does show you the gifts that were there all along.

This weekend we celebrated my sister’s birthday, and looking back at this photo of us as kids, I’m reminded how precious it is to grow up and realize your big sister is truly your best friend.

Some love doesn’t need to be loud to be deep. I’m really grateful. #sistersister
